16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Against Girls and Women
GFS are again participating in its annual campaign of ‘Sixteen Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Against Girls and Women’ by sharing daily prayers and meditations.
The campaign will run from 25th November – 10 December 2024.
May God give us eyes to recognise abuse where it exists. May God give us a heart to reach out in compassion.
The following ’16 Days of Activism’ booklet was created by Delores Johnston Alleyne, Former GFS USA President. Please download it and use it in your branches:
“God, we thank you that you give us the power to learn, grow and change. Thank you for what we have learned over these last 16 days. We thank you that you have heard every one of our prayers, that they are precious to you. We thank you for paying attention to every tear we have cried because of our own suffering or that of others. We thank you for bringing about change ion us and the world. We pray for those we know, or suspect are suffering or at risk of family and domestic violence. What would you have us do to care for them? Please show us and help us to help them. Amen.”
