How to Join

You are welcome to join at any time throughout the year, although you will benefit most if you are able to join at the start of the GFS season which typically runs from September to April/May the following year.

Typically GFS Branches meet weekly, fortnightly or sometimes monthly and can meet in a local Parish Hall, School or ‘on- line’ where wi-fi service permits. All leaders are appointed with the approval of the Rector and parish panel, and equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill their role as branch leaders through ongoing training.

GFS is a great way to meet new friends and where dignity of every human being is respected. Members can participate and engage in our exciting and varied programmes based locally, nationally and internationally. GFS in Ireland is constantly revising its education programme which encourages members to acheieve their personal best in a variety of areas and includes outdoor pursuits, drama, first aid, environmental awareness, arts and crafts, church life and public speaking. Camps, outings and competitions are among regular events.

GFS as an organisation provides a ministry to girls in a safe and accepting environment where Christ’s love is evident.
