A Holy Week Message from Jeanne Withanage, GFS World President

Dear friends,

🌿 Palm Sunday reminds us that our Saviour, our King entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey – in humility, not pride – symbolizing peace and servant leadership.

We thank you Father God, for your Son, Jesus Christ, who shows us the true nature of a king and a leader.

Thank you for placing us in the Girls’ Friendly Society so we can follow Jesus’ example – to lead with compassion, serve with humility and love with sincerity.

✝️ As Holy Week begins, let us all take a moment to pause amidst our work and the hustle and bustle of Life.

May this week be a time of rest and renewal for us.

Let’s turn our eyes toward the cross and reflect on the sacrifice and love that it represents.

When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of Glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride.
