Advent Message from GFS World President Jeanne Withanage

Dear members and friends:

As we begin the Season of Advent or “arrival”, we enter a period of reflection and anticipation of something new.

This is a time of preparation, repentance and renewal – a season of hope, joy, peace and love as we prepare for Jesus’ birth and the return of Christ at the Second Coming.

The “coming of Christ” can be viewed from different perspectives: the nativity in Bethlehem, the Second Coming and most importantly, receiving Christ into our hearts.

So, let us take action! Let us prepare our hearts to welcome Jesus and allow His love to fill us. In a world of turmoil and chaos, may we be instruments of peace, reconciliation and justice. Let us share the joy of Christ’s birth with others and live in hope for His return.

May the STAR of Bethlehem shine brightly in our hearts!
