150km walk for 150 years of GFS World

GFS Ireland are hosting a 150km social walk to celebrate 150 years of GFS World on Saturday 27 September 2025 at 2pm.

All branches across the island of Ireland will take part, starting the walk with a prayer from GFS World President Jeanne Withanage.

The goal is that each Diocese will cover a distance of 150km.

The Purpose? To promote health and wellbeing (SDG 3), and support GFS World Goal 2: Connectivity, enjoying the outdoors, calm, quiet through forest bathing.

All branches will be encouraged to end their walk with a picnic to celebrate community.

To take part, ask your local Diocesan Secretary for details.
