It’s a new day, a new year… A message from GFS World President

Dear members and friends :

The new year has dawned, in my part of the world !
Here I am, at home, the temperature is at 26°C (no snow in Sri Lanka), my cat is seated beneath the Christmas Tree and fireworks reverberate around me.

My thoughts dwell on the past year, recalling the good and the bad, the happy and the sad, the joy and the hurt, the kindness and the not so kind, the disappointments and the miracles. Many hard lessons were learned and I have emerged stronger.

I count my blessings and thank God for guiding me through it all.

I am sure you too, have lots to thank God for! Start counting …

As this special year, 2026, dawns and we look forward to the 25th GFS World Council, let’s keep our eyes on God and have faith in Him through “all the changing scenes of Life”.

True to our theme for 2023-2026, let us pursue our dreams, no matter how big or seemingly out of reach they may seem.

Let us shine like stars, allowing God’s light to illuminate our lives and work in us. May we reflect His great light – through love, compassion and hope – and guide others to Him.

May our GFS shine brightly like a million stars, to the glory of God !
