Prayer of Hope for January

Thank you Lord for all the joys of the last year! Thanks for the love I’ve shared and received, the opportunities I’ve embrace and even the challenges I’ve faced. As I head into another year, thanks for all the exciting adventure, experiences and friendships which lie ahead.

Our God is a mighty protector

Let us pray that God’s justice, compassion and right will break forth in our time. Awaken our hearts and deepen our commitment to work for a world where all people are free and able to live with dignity and freedom. We ask for conversion of heart for traffickers and for strong laws to protect victims. Give us wisdom and courage so that together we will find ways to ensure Your freedom is the gift for all people. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Source the Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans

Almighty God, we pray for all victims of abuse. We ask you to surround them with Your care and protect them by Your loving might and permit them to enjoy health and healing, wholeness and strength, calmness and peace and love. Most of all, we pray that they feel Your presence and be confident in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
