Don’t be afraid of the year,

Don’t be afraid to begin,

Just open your mind and open your heart,

Let love and hope enter in.

Don’t be afraid to be glad,

Tears are not only for sorrow.

Welcome the future and step through the year.

Look for the sunshine tomorrow.

Members Prayer January 2024

Heavenly Father, we thank you for all you have done for us and for bringing us to this New Year.

We thank you for Elizabeth Townsend who founded GFS 150 years ago. We acknowledge with thanksgiving all who have continued working in the society for the good of girls and women down through the years.

Father, your Holy Word tells us that we can bring our thanks and praise to you in many ways – speaking, singing, dancing, kneeling… Please inspire us throughout the year ahead to embrace different ways to worship you and to reflect your glory in acts of love. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

 

Junior Prayers January 2025

Thank you, God, for this New year, a chance in 2025 to see and learn new things as we celebrate 150 years of GFS in the world.

Please help us to be kind to each other at home, at GFS and at school. Teach us that kindness can make a difference for good wherever we are. Amen.
